In September we were able to celebrate a wonderful summer party with our families in the Kampfelbachhalle in Bilfingen under the motto:
“We celebrate life!”
The one from the Sterneninsel The families in care with their children with life-limiting illnesses, their siblings and the children from the bereavement groups were to be given a happy day on which they could all meet each other carefree and be pampered. Especially after a year and a half of the Corona period, which has put a lot of strain on everyone involved and continues to demand an infinite amount to this day. A young wheelchair user even came from the Heidelberg Neckar area.
The sky meant well for Bilfingen on Saturday: after the rain that night and the heavily overcast sky the following morning, it steadily cleared up until the sun finally appeared and stayed in the sky until the evening!
In a beautifully decorated hall, guests were treated to cake, coffee and cold drinks. There was even an ice cream truck on site. There was a barbecue outside.
Silke Karl's mobile narrative theater performed a fairytale-like play.
The numerous children were able to play and run around in the outdoor area. They enthusiastically accepted the various games on offer on the spacious meadow.
The children in wheelchairs, many of whom were on artificial ventilation, really enjoyed playing with the swing blanket. With bright eyes and smiling faces, they drove their wheelchairs under the bulging rainbow cloth or lingered under it. There was a friendly interaction between all the different children, healthy and sick, and the adults.
